Vidal
Reading Gore Vidal was a rite de passage for me. At first, I couldn’t believe politics would be as corrupt as he describes it to be. Then I saw he was right.
However, by teaching me to see Vidal also showed me how he would often exaggerate, and that he wasn’t that immune for conspiracy theories.
Still, it is a sad day. To read this interview in The Guardian made me realize Gore Vidal is getting old. He has a titanium hip now, his partner died, en he’s leaving Italy for the US. To go and live near the best medical facilities in the world money can buy. Though that’s not mentioned in the article.
